Notriv provides online notarization, e-signature, secure sharing, intake, and document workflow services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the service providers that may process it for us.
By using Notriv, you agree that we may process information as described here and in our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as name, email, authentication method, role, and organization details.
- Document and workflow information, including uploaded files, form responses, recipients, signatures, notary session details, audit records, and completion status.
- Payment and plan information, including Stripe customer IDs, checkout sessions, subscription state, plan limits, purchases, invoices, and billing metadata.
- Communications information, such as support requests, sales inquiries, email delivery events, and SMS delivery records.
- Technical information, such as device type, IP address, browser, logs, analytics events, error data, and security signals.
How We Use Information
- To provide document upload, e-signature, notarization, secure share, intake, and workflow features.
- To authenticate users, protect accounts, detect abuse, and maintain audit trails.
- To process payments, trials, subscriptions, one-time purchases, renewals, and plan access.
- To send transactional emails, SMS messages, account notices, document links, and service updates.
- To troubleshoot, monitor reliability, measure funnel performance, and improve the product.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, security, and dispute-resolution obligations.
Service Providers That May Process Data
Documents and Sensitive Information
Documents may contain sensitive personal, financial, legal, health, or business information. We use document information to provide the services requested by account holders, document recipients, signers, notaries, and workflow participants. Do not upload information unless you have the right to provide it and use Notriv for that workflow.
Sharing and Disclosure
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Notriv. We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect users or the service, respond to legal requests, handle disputes, or support a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Retention
We retain account, billing, audit, workflow, and completed document records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax obligations, preserve audit history, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Users may request deletion where legally and operationally available.
Your Choices
- You can update account information in your account where available.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of information by contacting us.
- You can opt out of SMS messages as described in our SMS Policy.
- You can manage payment methods and subscriptions through Stripe billing surfaces when available.
